This area is for environment development and imagination exercise. From rooms to worlds even though you won't write about most of it you still have to imagine what scene your characters move through. It can be a world you're working on that needs work on details or just a basic description that can be added to just to see where the members take it.
A journeyman wizard like all wizards geased to wander the lands until reaching master level
He has to travel 5 miles every day and at least 1 mile from his position every 24 hours
A black wizardry student
highly skilled in the family farm magics he hates he ran away to the academy to learn a different magic
With a natural talent for druidry he helped other students white, red and black cheat on their tests in exchange for the money necessary to make his tuition. He dreams of becoming a desiccated court wizard who doesn't have to work for a living. His precious smoke weed the only plant he planed to continue to grow
Fat and overweight instead of wandering dutifully like every other journeyman he struggles to build a an enchanted walking Inn.
an old falling apart inn is purchased for scrap lumber prices
Treants are slaughtered to make legs earning him local fame as a compassionate mage.
Magic bearings that can bear the weight of an entire inn are turned from theory into reality.
Oh and did I mention the former inn keepers overweight daughter that comes along as the cook and part of the price for the inn is really a secret dark elf poisoner in disguise?
Thus begins a career of wandering lands (via his bed in the penthouse) and ultimately his career as an unwitting dark lord. When a temporary pits stop after the inn wanders down the wrong road during the night leaves them stranded in a rocky mountainous village with the inn's food stores perilously low
Oh and did I mention the area is on the edge of starvation after the crops failed and the soil is poor?
what is a wanderings wizard left to do but roll up his sleeves fall back on the magic he detests and save himself from a monotonous weight losing diet? And incidentally become the areas new, latest and unwitting evil overlord.
Then when a simple error leads a misunderstanding that spirales out of control and permanently solidifies his local reputation as a terrifying dark lord. He thought they where shamelessly pushing their kids on him to pick the ones with talent to be trained as apprentices and innocently asked where the boys where, they thought they where offering their daughters for a marriage selection. Things take a turn stirring everyone up, including the local competition to take action.
But never lacking for ingenuity when the potential for avoiding his chores is on the line our hero soon takes advantage of all the free labor by shoving off all the hated farm magic onto anyone he can, both apprentice and defeated magical enemies alike, so that he can go back his pent house, smoke weed and study magic in order to get rid of that geas.
Foisting off all the spells he never wants to have to cast again, he is a strict and meticulous instructor
systematically teaching magic to the local talented population, he single highhandedly elevates the magic level of the local area and in the process, unintentionally, turns a former hardscrabble rocky hill territory into a major crop producer. But he doesn't care just so long as he has a variety of different plates to eat at dinner.
you see while druids learn magic because they love or in few cases hate it with a passion, plant magic to them is like art but to the professional farm mage plant magic is like carpentry just another job and plain old hard work at that. Its better all around if, instead of bothering him at all hour of the day, locals are helping locals with their magical needs, letting him sleep in and of course take a cut right off the top!
